1. Operator and data protection officer

2. Instagram files and analysis results

• The original ZIP or JSON is read only in your browser's memory.
• Username lists, mutual/fan/unfollower results, DM contents, the other party's account names, and advertiser lists are never sent to or stored on a server.
• Refreshing or closing the page clears the analysis results from your browser's memory.
• In the Recovery Release, no Firestore statistics derived from upload results and no error file names are transmitted.

3. General site analytics and infrastructure

To understand service stability and how pages are used, Google Analytics, Vercel Analytics, and Vercel Speed Insights may process general usage information such as page paths, device and browser type, approximate region, performance metrics, and click events. This information is never combined with the original Instagram ZIP or with username lists.

The site is served on Vercel infrastructure, and the request IP, user agent, and access time may be included in security and incident-response logs. Each provider's own policies apply to their retention and cross-border processing.

4. Local storage and Firebase

Small values needed for convenience features, such as UI state or the most recently used sign-in method, may remain in your browser's storage. Firebase remains only in the code for the sign-in feature and for reading your own authenticated subscription status; purchasable paid plans and upload-statistics writes are currently disabled.

5. Advertising and cookies

CheckMate may display advertisements through Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visit history.

You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings, and you can opt out of third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info.

Advertising is unrelated to your analysis results and uploaded files; CheckMate never collects or transmits the uploaded ZIP, usernames, or result lists for advertising purposes. The publisher meta tag and ads.txt used for ownership verification are retained.

6. Retention, disclosure, and exercising your rights

• The operator does not retain or sell the original Instagram analysis data or its results.
• General usage information is not sold to third parties at our discretion unless required by law.
• You can delete your browser storage and cookies yourself and stop using the analysis service immediately.
• Requests for access, correction, deletion, or restriction of processing are accepted by email, and when identity verification is needed, only the minimum information is requested.

7. Children and changes to this policy

We do not knowingly collect personal information from users under the age of 14. If a material purpose of processing or an external provider changes, the date and details of the change will be published on this page before it takes effect.
